Virtual Museum, Virtual Platform

To Celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, commemorating 75 years of India’s Independence, we collaborated with the Government Of India, the Ministry Of Defence, and the Department of Defence Production to create a Virtual Museum as well as a Virtual Platform called the Path to Pride, during the Defence Expo 2021. The Inauguration of the platform was done by our honorable Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh with his entire cabinet.

Demonstrating India’s Defence Capabilities

Through this initiative, the Government wanted to exhibit India’s Defence capabilities- Naval, Land, Electronics, Missile, Aero & UAV, on a global stage so we built a high-end platform that was cohesive with this vision. We maneuvered rich multimedia format to showcase Tejas LCA, Arjun MK1, Akash Missile, and Scorpene in a 360-degree demonstration.

Making Security a Priority

Since the platform was presented by the Government on the International forum, ultra-high security was ensured in the platform. The personal information of the users was being collected so it became even more critical to set the seal on security. We built a strong moderation system with double-moderator approvals for all the comments and messages on the platform. Various new kinds of firewalls and security parameters were harnessed along with the RSA 2048-bit encryption to make the platform completely secure and reliable.

Celebrating the Momentous Milestones

A comprehensive strategy was formulated to celebrate and showcase all the milestones achieved in the Defence Sector through highly interactive content including a concoction of text, visuals, and audio. The platform was divided into multiple sections- Auditorium, Exhibition, and Networking & Feedback Zone. The Auditorium facilitated dignified officials to take Live Interactive Sessions which could be converted into watch-on-demand while the Exhibition area engulfed the display of Defence capabilities. Users could share their comments in the Feedback Zone, wherein all the comments were scrutinized through a high-moderator approval system. Furthermore, all the products were showcased with 360-degree interaction along with the setup of an AR Photo Booth with the Path to Pride Theme with the incorporation of the Client-side frame segmentation algorithm.

Technical Aspect

We had to make a highly interactive platform that is mobile-friendly and caters to a broad-scaled diversified Indian audience, so optimization became all the way pivotal. The platform was widely promoted through social media and email marketing campaigns so the estimated user base was outspread. We had to scale the platform to support the vast user base end-to-end.

An extensive server architecture was made in AWS integrating novel technologies namely real-time communication over sockets and real-time analytics for public monitoring and functioning. Further, we made a web-based platform, accessible to anyone from anywhere, constituting umpteen multimedia elements with a target loading time of under 5 seconds.

With 3 months of seamless user experience, the platform aided the glorious execution of the Government's visionary initiative and we witnessed more than 1 lakh interactions on the platform.
